Diabetic Strips

I wonder if there is a glucose test meter out there that do not use test strips, anything you do not need to keep and blood pack? If it were I would use it. I'm diabetic. Yes, there is one but it is disproportionately expensive. Insurance companies will not see it as a medical device. There is a constant blood glucose meters as a bell. The sensor itself is around $ 5000 and weekly strip of tape 1000 or so was told.
